Il repose sur une analyse multicrit\u00e8re de l\u2019aptitude des terres \u00e0 l\u2019agriculture et\n                      \u00e0 la production v\u00e9g\u00e9tale. Il repose sur une analyse multicrit\u00e8re de l\u2019aptitude\n                      des terres \u00e0 la production Agricole. Selon la FAO (1976<strong>), l\u2019aptitude agronomique d\u2019une terre<\/strong> correspond \u00e0 \u00ab l\u2019aptitude d&rsquo;un type de terre donn\u00e9 \u00e0 un type d&rsquo;utilisation donn\u00e9, dans son \u00e9tat actuel ou apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;apport\n                      de certaines am\u00e9liorations \u00bb. En l\u2019absence d\u2019\u2019am\u00e9nagements majeurs (irrigation, terrassements, drainage, etc.) l\u2019aptitude agronomique d\u2019une terre repose essentiellement sur le climat, la g\u00e9omorphologie et sur les caract\u00e9ristiques\n                      intrins\u00e8ques des sols (p\u00e9dologie). La combinaison de ces param\u00e8tres permet de classer les terres selon des niveaux d\u2019aptitudes agronomiques allant d\u2019inapte \u00e0 tr\u00e8s apte. L\u2019aptitude agronomique des terres est classifi\u00e9e en reprenant\n                      les recommandations de la FAO (1983) :<\/p>\n                    <p>\u00d8&nbsp;<strong>La vocation agricole des terres<\/strong><\/p>\n                    <p>d\u00e9pend d\u2019une part de leur aptitude agronomique et d\u2019autre part des usages actuels ou futurs qui leurs sont r\u00e9serv\u00e9s. Elle d\u00e9pend en particulier de l\u2019occupation des sols actuelle et des zonages existants d\u00e9finissant les espaces r\u00e9serv\u00e9s\n                      \u00e0 d\u2019autres usages que l\u2019agriculture : aires prot\u00e9g\u00e9es, for\u00eats class\u00e9es, p\u00e9rim\u00e8tres miniers, extensions urbaines, etc.<\/p>\n                  <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n Aptitude des terres selon le climat<\/p>\n                  <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n                <div data-colibri-id=\"2222-c35\" class=\"h-text h-text-component style-1880 style-local-2222-c35 position-relative h-element\">\n                  <!---->\n                  <!---->\n                  <div class=\"\">\n                    <p>Dans de nombreuses r\u00e9gions tropicales, les conditions sont trop s\u00e8ches durant une partie de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e pour permettre la croissance des plantes sans irrigation, tandis que sous un climat temp\u00e9r\u00e9, la production des cultures est limit\u00e9e\n                      par les basses temp\u00e9ratures hivernales. Le calcul de la p\u00e9riode de croissance permet de d\u00e9finir la p\u00e9riode de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e o\u00f9 sont r\u00e9unies les conditions de temp\u00e9rature et d&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 ad\u00e9quates pour la production agricole. La p\u00e9riode de\n                      croissance constitue un cadre de d\u00e9finitions des variables climatiques pour ensuite les confronter aux besoins et aux probables r\u00e9ponses des plantes. Ce concept est essentiel aux ZAE ; c&rsquo;est un moyen d&rsquo;inclure la p\u00e9riodicit\u00e9 saisonni\u00e8re\n                      dans l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation des ressources en terres. Son point de d\u00e9part est relatif \u00e0 une situation de sol satur\u00e9 en eau, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement apr\u00e8s la saison des pluies. Dans ce cas, la Rhm = Ru (R\u00e9serve utile du sol).\n                                Cette derni\u00e8re, d\u00e9pend de la profondeur et du type de sol. Pour chaque type de sols sera estim\u00e9e une \u00ab\u00a0Ru\u00a0\u00bb selon la notice fournie par Boulvert (1983) et des donn\u00e9es de l\u2019ISRIC.
